Sat 26th Aug 2006: Royal Scotsman 37029 leads The Royal Scotsman from Edinburgh to Spean Bridge with 57601 on the rear - the first visit of a 57 on the West Highland Line.

Fri 26th Aug 2005: MacCookie to Kyle Day 1 of the MacCookie tour to Kyle of Lochalsh, which involved chasing 37406 on 1Y11 Edinburgh - Fort William before breakfast, and then heading up to Kyle to check the line out looking for locations to shoot during the following two days. We finished the day off by heading down to North Queensferry to get 40145 crossing the Forth Bridge with the Whistling Scotsman railtour and then chasing it up to Dundee to get it crossing the Tay Bridge and racing through West Ferry (in the dark!)

Sun 7th Aug 2005: Royal Scotsman to Mallaig and back Chasing 37261 and 37197 with the Royal Scotsman, starting with a midgie infested Achnabobane, before heading west for shots at various locations such as near Glenfinnan, Kinloid, Arisaig (where it crossed 61264 on The Jacobite), Loch Eilt and finishing off at Corpach.

Sat 6th Aug 2005: 47s go west 47854 becomes the first 47 to visit Fort William and 47826 becomes the first 47 to visit Mallaig. Photos taken from Rannoch Viaduct (plus some shots of the sleeper with 37406) and then round to the Iron Road to the Isles, with shots near Glenfinnan and classic locations such as Loch nam Uamh Viaduct. We then headed south to Bridge of Orchy and County March for some final shots, where we also met the Royal Scotsman with 37261 and 37197.

Fri 17th Jun 2005: MacCookie Adventures (Day 2) The MacCookie adventures continue, with an early drive down to Glen Falloch to start the day off with a sleeper chase (Glen Falloch, County March, Bridge of Orchy and Fort William Junc) and then over to the Highland Mainline to get 31602 and 37261 on the Royal Scotsman before returning to Fort William to get the Caledonian Sleeper back to Glasgow
