50031 and 50049 take a trip out to Kyle of Lochalsh and back. Weather was typically grim for my trips to Kyle, but some nice shots were taken. Upon arrival back at Inverness, 50031 was turned via the ground frame in Plt5 - a rather unusual move for a 50!

The first day of the first MacCookie Tour 2006. Again we were heading up north, following the Blue Pullman up from Edinburgh to Kyle of Lochalsh and Thurso. Four locomotives were used for the weekend, 87006 up the ECML to Edinburgh and then various combinations of 47703, 47709 and 47712 from there.

Green 37411 works 5M11 Polmadie - Glasgow Central empty sleeper stock - something a bit different anyway!

73204 and 73205 make a historic trip to Scotland over 31st October / 1st November to act as barrier vehicles in a GBRf stock move for First Group. First photo of them was taken at Carstairs when they were hauled up by 87012. They were then caught on camera hauling 87012 from Shieldmuir to Edinburgh Craigentinny and then finally as 87012 hauled the HST trailers on the first leg of their long journey to Laira.

A big thanks to those at GBRf that made such an interesting move possible!

A trip to the Natural History Museum (T-Rex!) and some late afternoon and early evening shots from around the London Eye.

A trip through to Edinburgh to get some photos of Direct Rail Services' (DRS) 20306 and 20309 on the weedkiller train through central Scotland, including a run into Glasgow Queen Street - when was the last time a pair of 20s visited Queen Street!

A day of racing around East Anglia to get some photos of 40145 on the Silver Jubilee Tour.

Four locations were visited for both day time and night time shots, from Peterborough to Norwich and back again!

A good day out with plenty of loco hauled trains, including three 87s, an 86 and a 73. Also plenty of GM traction from all the major companies except for DRS.

And just to ensure that there is something for everyone, EMUs and DMUs galore!

My first move in what was to be a very long weekend down south was the sleeper from Glasgow Central to London Euston. And as luck would have it, 37417 worked 5M11 into Central :) 90018 provided traction for the run south.

A fantastic evening at Greenfoot waiting for 37607 and 37608 on 4M30 Grangemouth - Daventry. Unfortunetly the light had gone by the time that the 37s had gone through, but the moon had risen.

A day trip over to Carlisle and then down the S&C to Preston and back with 47792.

<>90023 did a number of trial runs between Edinburgh Waverley and North Berwick, and Mark kindly provided transport to allow us to get some pics at various locations, including Drem, Prestonpans and Waverley.

A trip through the Tyne Valley to Carlisle to sample the tractors on the S&C to Leeds.
